Olivia + Stefan: A Corkstown Road Engagement

Wrapping up the Month of April with a pretty special session…the very last full session before the spread of that “P” or “C” word I dare not mention on the blog. We shot this Engagement session back in March, not knowing what the future had in store, and if I’m being honest, I’ve been meaning to share it here on the Blog for some time now, but kept pushing it further and further back. I think I didn’t want to face the reality of posting what would be my last full session with nothing else waiting in cue. It almost seems silly saying that out loud, but I guess I’ve always enjoyed the juggling act of mapping out what came next on here, and how it fell into place with the other aspects and responsibilities of my photography business, alongside my full time teaching career, as well as day to day life. So I guess what I’m saying, is that I was afraid. Afraid that the site would sit idle, that I wouldn’t know when I could safely pursue my passion for photography again, that I wouldn’t get the chance to meet and work with new clients or reconnect with past ones. But I think it’s safe to say that feelings of fear, however big or small, are normal when faced with uncertainty. And as you move along the process, acceptance can help guide the way to seeing things in a new and valuable light…perhaps I’ll save that for now, and share more on that in my next post 😉

In the meantime, I want to shift my focus back on these two, Olivia + Stefan, who met with me near Wesley Clover Parks for their “Corkstown Road” Engagement. We were happy to still have some fresh snow covering the ground and a sunny sky beginning to surface after a dark and cloudy day. We hopped along Corkstown rd. making three stops that ultimately make up this collection of photograps, and if I may say so myself, the backdrop of our locations got more and more beautiful as we went along, but perhaps i’ll let you decide that on your own.

To Olivia + Stefan, I raise a glass to you in memory of our soaked boots and soggy toes that night! And to anyone else popping by to share in this post, here’s hoping you are staying safe + well too!
